Lehrein: Aisha - Lyrics

khoyi khoyi si hoon main
kyun ye dil ka haal hai
dhundhle saare khaab hain
uljha har khayaal hai
saari kaliyaan murjha gayin
rang unke yaadon mein reh gaye
saare gharonde ret ke,
lehrein aayin lehron mein beh gaye.

raah mein kal kitne charaag the,
saamne kal phoolon ke baag the
kis se kahun kaun hai jo sune,
kaante hi kyun maine hain chune
sapne mere kyun hain kho gaye
jaage hain kyun dil mein gham naye
saari kaliyaan murjha gayin
rang unke yaadon mein reh gaye
saare gharonde ret ke,
lehrein aayin lehron mein beh gaye.
Na na na na na na..
Na na na na na na…
Kya kahun kyun ye dil udaas hai
ab koi door hai na paas hai
chhoo le to dil wo baatein ab kahan
wo din kahan raatein ab kahan
jo beeta kal hai ab khwab sa
ab dil mera hai betaab sa
saari kaliyaan murjha gayin
rang unke yaadon mein reh gaye
saare gharonde ret ke,
lehrein aayin lehron mein beh gaye..

A typical day at Col.....

You get up in the morning thinking you just have an extra class, today you will catch up with few of the pending works like - pending assignment or study for a test that is coming up in two days or start the sem project that is due in next two months or implement some new logic of an old assignment or write a program just for fun or my favorite, read a novel. But never did you know none of this is possible. You have your breakfast, go to the first class and boom a new assignment is up in the forum, guess what last time sir wanted us to deal with 10^8 data in less than 5 mins and today he wants to process 10^10 with 1GB RAM.And the day proceeds, some or the other meeting and you do not get to go to the hostel(which is hardly 100 m from col). In the next class, you know you have a test for it coming up but hard to concentrate, sir's frequency is too high and he uses to many technical terms, and so its more difficult to catch up. After the mind - stack overflow session, you have another meeting in next hour, and so you just while away the time relaxing with friends. After all this you finally go to the room, wash your face check your mails(to find next set of meetings or session scheduled) and its dinner time. And you suddenly remembered you had a doubt in an assignment few days back, you contacted you mentor for it, you have to meet up with him after dinner.Actually after getting that error you never had time to look back at the code so had slipped off your mind.By the time you come back from dinner and have cleared your query with the mentor(dont't know when you will implement it), you have done nothing and already you are sleepy or have severe headache.By the time you manage to write a function and sleep, you are looking forward to two-different project meeting with the mentor tomm(to show them the progress) plus 3 tests(along with the one you knew 2 more added for the subsequent days) plus another assignment and you always have a stack overflowing with self study or self relaxing things to do.

PS - this blog was to be written yesterday but slept off had sever headache

First impression is not actually the last impression

"First impression is the last impression", I have heard this line so much that I used to believe it. And lately I realized its not true. Not a bulb glowing realization but an experience makes you learn kind of realization.
One of the situation would be, not everyone that I was talking to on the first week of college is still in touch with me in the same way. Initially it was a crowd of new people slowly you get to know some of them, you start talking to many. The irony is a person having an awesome impression on you at first can later be discovered as a jerk. And similarly a person sounding rude at initial instance can actually be a shy person who takes time to open up.
So impressions are made as and when things happen, there is a possibility that a horrible impression once made leads to wrong and negativity in future but there are always another ways of influencing persons opinion.
A persons opinion is affected not only by first hand experience but also by someone else's influence. May be it is wrong to form/change an opinion on basis of a third persons eye but it does affects.
In an interview, people dress their best as well as present themselves perfectly but in the interviewer's head their is some predefined notion about the short listed candidates cause of his/her portfolio/resume. So its never just the first hand impression and definitely its never a last impression.
Be careful some words at times hurt by ruining life long good impressions!!!!

Que Sera, Sera

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

Love the song, Love the lyrics but havent followed it.

I am a person who keeps analyzing the future. In my life it is always about "what next". I am never in present, never enjoying the moment, just deciding the path for future.Lately a friend of mine made me realize future is dynamic.Future keeps changing our wishes keep changing, we can always try for better tomorrow but alongside we should always live today

The best example is my present surroundings - People here tried day and night to reach here. Most of them knew what they were signing for, many of them knew they had to go thru this to reach their ultimate goal. Everyone cribs I want a day off, too many tests n assignments even I keep complaining very hectic schedule. When in company I did everything to get out of that place and now I am actually closer to what I want. This struggle will lead me to a place where I will love to work, where I wil work on what I want to work on. But currently its about how to get out of this and be somewhere else, when I reach somewhere else I will start for somewhere else.Life is never ending journey the day we start enjoying the scenes in the path, reaching the destination will be secondary.

IDE and tools

How much ease do IDEs and automatic tools provide?
How justified is the use of such "ease in programming" tools at post graduaation level?
If your concepts are clear does it really matter wht IDE you use?
And if you are still at learning phase do tools help?
Dont you become slave of intellisense when you use Visual studio?
Dont you forget the proper syntaxes when you use Eclipse?
But ofcourse for simulation of traffic on a network, you need a tool.....

Hmmm these are few questions that I keep thinking about. Some say it helps avoiding syntax errors other say it helps avoiding unnecessary works(like placing brackets...) others justify the use as it saves time. But are these reasons enough, shoudnt we being at post graduation level be sure that our syntaxes will be perfect. Time is a very important factor, did Einstein use calculators to ease his calculations?
I am actually not such a big fan of IDEs. I always thought Visul studio c#.net was lazy people language, the biggest irony is we use all inbuilt methods to implement the logic. I just have a feeling that if the small small pieces of program are coded by using existing libraries then how is the logic innovtive. IDEs are made to ease programming but how far becoming a slave of IDE improves someones knowledge.

How do you measure knowledge?- time, logic, innovation, creativity........
agreed if one can code perfectly, he/she can use an IDE but then the practice gets lost and so is the perfectness :-p
