For some Banglore is the city of lakes, for few it is Silicon Valley of India, city of night life but for me it is the place for my post graduation. This post is more like my diary entry for the day I came to Bengaluru city.
I had came to banglore only twice before and that to just for a day or two for interview or test so when I arrived with l my luggage on banglore city station it was a new city for me. As usual it was an eventful day. I came with my parents, we tried carrying luggage but then one of the coolies came and we agreed to let him take the luggage on the stairs. Now it began, first of all we noticed he was drunk and even when we tried to get his hands off our luggage he was being stubborn to carry it. Then he started walking in opposite direction to what others were walking, we were just wondering what’s going on when one of the bags that he was holding on top on his head went straight down on the railway track. We shouted at him but another guy helped him to get bag back on his head again. We were still shouting only when all our bags fell down, as the handle he was hold for support broke off, it was full chaos. Everyone started shouting at him even people around us; we were able to get his hands off all our luggage as he now got scared of so many people around. Now we see there is a subway lift to carry luggage hahaha, only if we would have seen it earlier. Somehow we got off the station got some okay types hotel and settled.
Then it was routine college stuff – registration – hostel allotment. Luckily I reached late for registration and got a double sharing executive room than a single room. One beautiful thing happened, I did not know who my partner would be, when I went to check my room I found a note by my would be roomy (who had checked out the room before) saying who she is and when she will be shifting. And thus I made my first friend in the college.
About College life I need not say much its very typical hostel life : we keep running for classes – even when hostels are so near we end up reaching late – food is edible – classes are good – specially the C professor is awesome – made many new friends – had senior interactions – even have classes at 10 at night – have music club, literary club, cycling trips, social service will try to make it for as many as possible .
I will say Banglore is the beginning of new era of my life, which has academics plus all other things I want to enjoy before its becomes too late.
